The Rogers relocated to Newcastle in 2014 and took over the reins of the Sydney Junction Hotel.  In September of 2014 they began their huge refurbishment and renovation of the hotel which once stood as a tired eye saw on the corner of bustling Beaumont Street with a vision to rebrand and bring a new lease of life to the hotel. In the years to follow, the hotel underwent a huge transformation into what it is today- a family friendly hotel with an exceptional standard of food and service boosting a modern, spacious design that proudly holds reputation as Newcastle’s premiere establishment for drinks and dining in a relaxed atmosphere.

Revamped and about to undergo huge renovations in 2018, both the bistro and bar have earnt themselves reputation as the best quality food and service in the area. The large beer garden was fitted out with 4 modern cabana huts and a huge 17.5m kids adventure playground to cater to the areas demographic. Being a family-friendly hotel that allows kids and parents to both enjoy a day out was imperative in the hotels new direction and design.
